Vector actions pack for Adobe Illustrator wich allow turn your vector objects in cool hand-drawn sketchbook style
This is actions pack made for Adobe Illustrator CS4 and above. There several files in archive:
Draft-O-Matic (Start Here).ai — main template with styles and pattern swatches used in sketcher. Put your vector objects here.
Kontramax Draft-O-Matic Actions.aia — file with actions. Load this actions in Illustrator actions panel.
[Graphic Used In Preview] – folder with all items used in preview, you can make your tests or experiments here.
WARNING FOR BEST RESULTS:
Ballpen, Pencil, Aqua better work on fills, blob brushes, any expanded shape forms without strokes.
Feltpen, Marker, Mad Plotter better work on strokes, with standart brush, pen, pencil, line, tools etc.
Good way is to experiment with different tools and techniques!
QUICK START GUIDE:
1. First, open “Draft-O-Matic (Start Here).ai” in Adobe Illustrator CS4+. This file load all graphic styles and patterns needed for Draft-O-Matic.
2. Save as your own file to prevent deleting original template.
3. Open actions panel and load actions — “Kontramax Draft-O-Matic Actions.aia”.
4. Paste your logo or graphic in template instead of text ‘your object draw here’. Make sure that you read warning above, also all texts in logo converted to curves (ctrl+shift+O) and all objects in logo grouped in one group (Ctrl+G).
5. Select your grouped object and start desired action with play button on actions panel. Wait while action finish work.
You can vary with size of your original object before start action. Just experiment for your best results.
Action will hide layer with original logo and create new layer with Draft-O-Mated logo for easy usage. After action finish you can edit group with logo or background — recolor, rotate or scale pattern fills as usual, delete or modify elements, copy-paste to Photoshop as Vector Smart Objecs or to another project.
